18" Western Sidesaddle by Lillian Chaudhary

This is an 18 inch by 15 inch sidesaddle on an antique tree. It is rawhide bound. It is built on a medium width tree. Horn is 4 7/8 inches high. It comes with stirrup and leather and balance girth, Western style. It has silver plate trim on it and the off side purse. I am not including the cinch as most people will want to get the right size for their horse. The seat and horns are darker than in the photos. Email me for an outdoor picture of it to see a better picture of the real color of the suede.

VEST FALSE POINTS

If you use false points in your dressage tailcoat or side-saddle coat, an extra set of points will help ensure that you always have a clean, tidy appearance! This is a brand new, never used, set of waistcoat points which can be buttoned into a cutaway dressage coat or side-saddle coat, instead of wearing a complete vest or waistcoat. It is fine wool, traditional canary yellow (suitable for formal) on one side, reversing to a fine grey-and-black tattersall (suitable for informal) on the other. There are five buttonholes to secure it to the coat—a horizontal one on each side, with three vertical buttonholes across the middle. The edges are finished with topstitching. The set of points is 12" wide; 3" deep at the sides, 4 5/8" deep at the points.

VINTAGE BERNARD WEATHERILL RUST BREECHES

This beautiful pair of vintage flared breeches bears the original Bernard Weatherill Madison Avenue label, made for Mrs. John Carter, dated 11-10-53, no. 1-252. Other than a small repair to the seat (shown marked with box in one photo, not visible under either apron or coat), the condition is excellent—no moth holes or visible wear. The fly has three buttons with a drop-fall flap (usual for vintage men’s breeches, as well as many women’s). Nice deep front pockets as well as right rear pocket. The legs have at some point been converted to Velcro closures. The breeches have been let out from above the knee, so there is virtually no material left there to let out further, but the seat/waist could be let out another inch if needed. Waist measures 24"-25"; front waist to knee seam, 24"; front waist to end of leg, 34".
